We started blogging our life as best friends, husband and wife, in 2006 shortly after we got married. Once we had children, I created a new blog for our growing family. This is our blog sharing the story of our life: beginning with our first pregnancy and our journey as parents to our beloved firstborn, BB1, who arrived in our world perfectly on 11.5.2010 and his precious sister, BB2, born on 10.6.2012, our sweet third baby, BB3, born 2.3.2015, our 3rd vivacious daughter, BB6, born on 5.1.2018 and our 2nd living son and final Bruffey Baby, BB8, born 6.23.2021. We also love our 3 greatly missed babies in Heaven, BB4 (born in Heaven at 5 weeks 5 days on 10.8.2016) BB5 (born still at 16 weeks on 2.5.2017), and BB7 (born in Heaven at 7 weeks 3 days on 10.23.2019). I will share my stories of our family, of being a wife, a mother, a home manager, a friend, a woman, a Hope Mom, and a person pursuing hope in Christ through life and death, joy and pain. Welcome to our journey!

"Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you."

Thanksgiving 2012: Austin, TX!

Josh's cousin, Brad, and his wife, Amanda, hosted Thanksgiving for Josh's side of our family this year at their beautiful home in Austin. Brad and Amanda have 2 children - Haylee (6) and Connor (2 - just 4 days older than Jacob). We had SUCH a good time! Ruth did great in the car and we enjoyed her getting to meet so many people on this side of our family, including Ruth's (Josh's mother) 2 sisters, Betty and Agnes and Betty's husband, John - Betty and John had never met Jacob nor Ruth, so this was special. We were so glad to get to see some Tennessee family, too - Josh's cousin, Kim and her two children, Mallory and Chase were there. Jacob had a blast playing with his cousins and seemed to feel right at home! Josh had a great time with Brad and his brother, Curtis enjoying some laughs and football along with their cousin Chase. Ruth Evelyn slept really well and I got to have some ladies' time and enjoyed seeing my children loved on by family! Thank you to Brad and Amanda!

Teaching Jacob how it works

These pictures make me smile as I look at toddler play and learning to take turns. Jacob was NOT so sure about giving Connor a turn...

Haylee has a sweet "Mama's" heart already - she helped Jacob down the stairs and was such a good play mate with him and Connor!

Feeling loved by Aunt Kim

Everyone was just in awe of how much older Ruth seems than 6 1/2 weeks!

Cousin generations: Kim, Haylee, and Ruth

Ruth was getting a bit tired, so Brad told Haylee how to use the soothie - Ruth approved!

Brad is good with the little ones!

Uncle Curtis is awesome!

He gets a signature Ruth Evelyn smile!

Josh came in and told me Jacob had figured out on his own how to climb up this play set! I had to see for myself! My boy is SO big! WOW how the time has flown!
