We started blogging our life as best friends, husband and wife, in 2006 shortly after we got married. Once we had children, I created a new blog for our growing family. This is our blog sharing the story of our life: beginning with our first pregnancy and our journey as parents to our beloved firstborn, BB1, who arrived in our world perfectly on 11.5.2010 and his precious sister, BB2, born on 10.6.2012, our sweet third baby, BB3, born 2.3.2015, our 3rd vivacious daughter, BB6, born on 5.1.2018 and our 2nd living son and final Bruffey Baby, BB8, born 6.23.2021. We also love our 3 greatly missed babies in Heaven, BB4 (born in Heaven at 5 weeks 5 days on 10.8.2016) BB5 (born still at 16 weeks on 2.5.2017), and BB7 (born in Heaven at 7 weeks 3 days on 10.23.2019). I will share my stories of our family, of being a wife, a mother, a home manager, a friend, a woman, a Hope Mom, and a person pursuing hope in Christ through life and death, joy and pain. Welcome to our journey!

"Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you."

Family Time & A Growing Boy

Sunday, 6/10/12

We had a great day, even though Jacob has been fighting a fever and cough for a week. Josh represented the Bruffeys at church while I kept Jacob at home to continue healing and protect his little friends at church from whatever viral issue he is battling. Josh did some grocery shopping for us on the way home and that was such a blessing!

Jacob was starting to feel better, as his fever had finally been gone for 2 days and he was regaining an appetite and wanting to play a bit more. He keeps us smiling as he races towards being our "big boy" so very fast!

It was, overall, a wonderful, bittersweet day as we ache to see our boy well and yet love the time we have together as a family! We are working with both Jacob's pediatrician and our chiropractor to build his immune system and strengthen his little body as it seems most things he's exposed to, he catches. Our pediatrician has explained that this is normal - from 9 months on the immunity from the womb and breastfeeding start to wane and that, at his age, getting sick about once a month is normal as his immune system continues to develop. I can understand this, but am also working with our amazing chiropractor to equip and boost his immune system.

WALKING JUST LIKE DADDY!

Josh and I each keep a pair of Crocs near our garage door to wear when we go out in the garage. Jacob insisted on putting on his Daddy's and walking around. It. was. adorable!! My boy - I love him!!

FAMILY TACO NIGHT

I decided to have at least one taco night a month for our family! Josh was so excited and even Jacob loved the meal! We'll probably do this a couple of Sundays a month when we can know we'll all be together.

mmmmmmmmm!!

Jacob was eager for this fun, family meal!

He also insisted that he hold his taco himself! It cracked us up - he would not let me help him hold it - and he did JUST FINE by himself! My big boy!

See, Mama - I can take a bite and hold it all by myself!

I love my family and these boys, Josh & Jacob, fill my heart! I look forward to having BB2 join our little family and sharing in the times we have together!
