We started blogging our life as best friends, husband and wife, in 2006 shortly after we got married. Once we had children, I created a new blog for our growing family. This is our blog sharing the story of our life: beginning with our first pregnancy and our journey as parents to our beloved firstborn, BB1, who arrived in our world perfectly on 11.5.2010 and his precious sister, BB2, born on 10.6.2012, our sweet third baby, BB3, born 2.3.2015, our 3rd vivacious daughter, BB6, born on 5.1.2018 and our 2nd living son and final Bruffey Baby, BB8, born 6.23.2021. We also love our 3 greatly missed babies in Heaven, BB4 (born in Heaven at 5 weeks 5 days on 10.8.2016) BB5 (born still at 16 weeks on 2.5.2017), and BB7 (born in Heaven at 7 weeks 3 days on 10.23.2019). I will share my stories of our family, of being a wife, a mother, a home manager, a friend, a woman, a Hope Mom, and a person pursuing hope in Christ through life and death, joy and pain. Welcome to our journey!

"Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you."

Our Christmas in Tennessee!

Christmas 2012 was celebrated in a special way - we were able to fly to Tennessee for a "tender Tennessee" Christmas with our Bruffey family! Thank you to Beryl and Scott for making this all come together for our families! We have wanted to be there for a holiday for a few years now and it was such a blessing for God to weave together this holiday, this year for our families! It was a time of renewal, reconnecting, encouraging, laughing, and celebrating life and family! I have SO many great pictures, but have tried to narrow it down to a few that tell the story of our time there!

The adventure began with us flying with both children from DFW to Nashville! God's hand was so there watching over my babies! When we got to the gate after checking our bags and working our way through security, the gate agent asked if we would prefer a flight that left a bit later, but was a direct flight meaning we would arrive 3 hours earlier. Well, that was a no-brainer! We were SO very glad we took this flight - the original flights we were on had a layover in Chicago, where winter weather hit and there were major delays! Thank you Lord for going before us! We got the extra time with family and THAT was needed!

Ruth Evelyn was an amazing traveler and we really enjoyed our Kinderpack for wearing her in the airports. Jacob did great and we were so proud of our big boy! We are grateful to my parents for giving him an early Christmas present that was great entertainment in the airport and on the plane - yay for a Leap Pad!

Jacob loved to stand in this specific chair and do the "hot dog" dance from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He wanted Auntie Kay to "get down" and she was going to scoot forward - he looked at her and said, "ummm... sit couch!" We all cracked up! Here they are negotiating!

It was a fast trip, even being there almost a week! We loved our times playing Boggle, laughing, talking, Christmas shopping, special moments, and seeing all the kids, big and small, enjoy Christmas together! Thank you for this Christmas!

Much love from all 4 of us Texas Bruffeys!
