Ruth Evelyn Bruffey made her incredibly fast, beautiful appearance into the outside world, joining Mama, Daddy, and doula Kaitlyn as she softly was born into water at home in our living room! A few minutes later, warm and dry in our bedroom, we were joined by our midwife, Joni, her midwife team and our wonderful birth photographer, Brandie Davis of Mindful Momma Photography! She captured this precious time on film and we are SO grateful! Here are some of the beautiful pictures she took of Ruth's first moments of life and our family!

I just love these colors and this moment for me and my sweet newborn - so much peace and joy. I'll never forget - as we sat in the bath and Brandie took pictures, I could hear the joy and laughter and conversation of Joni and the All About Babies Birth Center midwife team as they cleaned up our living room and bedroom and readied things or Ruth's newborn exam... so much joy and Christian fellowship greeting Ruth's new life and I treasure this!
