We started blogging our life as best friends, husband and wife, in 2006 shortly after we got married. Once we had children, I created a new blog for our growing family. This is our blog sharing the story of our life: beginning with our first pregnancy and our journey as parents to our beloved firstborn, BB1, who arrived in our world perfectly on 11.5.2010 and his precious sister, BB2, born on 10.6.2012, our sweet third baby, BB3, born 2.3.2015, our 3rd vivacious daughter, BB6, born on 5.1.2018 and our 2nd living son and final Bruffey Baby, BB8, born 6.23.2021. We also love our 3 greatly missed babies in Heaven, BB4 (born in Heaven at 5 weeks 5 days on 10.8.2016) BB5 (born still at 16 weeks on 2.5.2017), and BB7 (born in Heaven at 7 weeks 3 days on 10.23.2019). I will share my stories of our family, of being a wife, a mother, a home manager, a friend, a woman, a Hope Mom, and a person pursuing hope in Christ through life and death, joy and pain. Welcome to our journey!

"Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you."
Psalm 24: 4 - 5

Speaking of Craig's List...!!

I have been scouring Craig's List to find a dresser/changing table piece to complete the furniture in our son's nursery. My mother found this piece that I loved - and it wasn't too far from us! Josh and I got up early today and went and picked it up - the price was great and it is SO versatile! We've talked about painting it and using it with all the children we hope God brings into our family and beyond. Here it is in our nursery (which is slowly taking shape, though right now looks, well, like a tornado comes through).

The Dresser!
It has a TON of space and is GREAT quality!
I LOVE that it has a changing area - we'll just add a changing pad and be ready to go!
We plan to paint it and I'll do some accents on it to match the bedding we've chosen.

This is the right side up close.
The shelves are adjustable and it has a hanging rod up top which is wonderful!

On the left side, there are 4 drawers, all lined with this soft, black velvet-like lining.

On the bottom of the left side below the drawers are 2 cabinets - TONS of space!!

Now, a view of how the nursery is shaping up - it is a PROCESS for sure!
We moved the crib closer to the window and plan to put the dresser next to the crib (once we do all the painting, etc. on the dresser).

So, I need to get these clothes hung at some point, but mother and I put them out for Josh to see when he got home. :-)

When you first walk in the nursery and glance to the right, this is what you see right now - WHEW!

And as you look a bit to your left, this is the view. SO crowded for now - but as we paint, get bedding and decor, and then I have time to put things away, it will be BEAUTIFUL!

A quick peek in his closet - a few clothes already hung up.

SWEET (non-slip!) baby hangars mother found!

And, of course, DIAPERS!

The journey is fun. We enjoy working as Team Bruffey to prepare for our newest team member.

We can't wait to meet you!!

  1. How fun!! Ian has a dresser a lot like that and we LOVE it! So versatile. Everyone I know who had an actual changing table either didn't use it or didn't know what to do with it when the kid outgrew it. Love the lining in yours - ours doesn't have that! Congrats on getting all the goodies together. It's so much fun!
