We are now 16 weeks! It is hard to believe after all we've been through, our precious 2nd baby is already 16 weeks along! Some things I've read about our baby at 16 weeks:
BB2 is about the size of an avocado, 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too (www.babycenter.com).
I have started to really embrace that this baby will LIVE and that we really ARE pregnant! When you have bleeding and complications early on, as we did, it takes the heart and mind a while to grasp the reality of life within... at least it did for me. As the excitement grows, so does my little belly! I have felt it was time to start documenting my baby's growth within in pictures! The birth center we used for our first pregnancy had belly art nights, but somehow I never knew when they were and thus didn't get to participate. SO, I vowed I'd have belly art this pregnancy! I love painting as a hobby and decided I'll do my own weekly mural on my ballooning belly! It being my 2nd pregnancy, my belly seems to be growing faster than it did the first time! The birth center we plan to be a part of this time also has belly art nights and I plan to attend at LEAST one!
Here are today's picture of me and my 2nd little one within and my creativity in sharing this journey:
After my son did some painting (see post below), I got my paints out!
